All of our patches are stitched onto a poly blend twill base fabric using Gutermann brand thread. All patches come with 'Heat-N-Bond Ultrahold' brand iron on backing attached. Patches can be sewn or ironed on.

 

IRON ON INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1. Make sure your fabric is clean and free of wrinkles.

Step 2. Set iron to a high heat, DO NOT use any steam.

Step 3. Peel off paper backing.

Step 4. Place patch adhesive side down on top of your fabric in desired location, cover patch with a thin cloth (such as handkerchief, tea towel, pillowcase etc). 

Step 5. Press and hold iron onto patch for 10 - 12 seconds, with moderate even pressure, until entire patch is entirely bonded.

Step 6. Turn the garment inside out and repeat step 5 on reverse.

Step 7. Allow to cool

We always recommend to add some hand stitches around the edge of your patch to make sure it is extra secure.

For thicker fabrics more time may be required.

Do not use on fabrics that should not be ironed (leathers etc).

For a guaranteed permanent application patch should be sewn on.

 

PATCH CARE:

Do not tumble dry. For washing machine use, use a cool wash. Washing at a high temperature or tumble drying will cause adhesive backing to melt and may damage patch/fabric.
